The Juniors division finals of the 64th annual Haili Volleyball Tournament will begin today.
At 9 a.m., five divisions will begin holding the last of their quarterfinal matchups — girls 16U and 18U at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium, girls 14U at UH-Hilo, girls 12U at Hilo Armory and coed 10U at Kawananakoa Gym in Keaukaha.
With just four teams, the boys 14U division has always had its final four — and will hold its first semifinal match at 9:50 a.m. at UH-Hilo.
Consolation championships will be held around noon, starting at 11:30 a.m. with girls 18U at Civic and Boys 14U at UHH — then at 12:20 p.m., girls 16U will play its consolation final at Civic, girls 14U at UHH and coed 10U at Kawananakoa.
The last consolation final will be the girls 12U division — tipping off 1:10 p.m. at Hilo Armory.
After a break, the finals will begin 4 p.m. at Civic — starting with coed 8U on court 1 and girls 14U on court 2. The coed 8U division only has two teams, Haili and Pulelehua — and the final will be the first and only 8U event.
Coed 10U and boys 14U will play at 5 p.m., girls 12U and 16U at 6 p.m. — and then boys 12U and girls 18U will cap off the night with finals starting at 7 p.m.
The adult tournament will begin Thursday at 9 a.m. at the same four locations.
